So, this is a TIMTAB blog post
TIMTAB seems mostly compatible with tt_news. But some extensions that add to the functionality of tt_news are not available for use with timtab.

Now I'm testing a desktop application called Drivel that runs on Linux and should allow me to edit blog posts made with TIMTAB
And by golly it works!
The only problem I see with this is that there is no RTE in this Drivel tool. On second thought, it could be a blessing to not have the distraction of the RTE when blogging. It should make it easier to focus on content

After posting the above link and refreshing this blog post on the front end of my site, I see that the link didn't work. Probably was parsed out somewhere.
